Edit for 3rd trip recently, food is still fantastic, staff still very accomodating - still the best place in Hull! Been twice and both times the food was fantastic. Snails and steak are both incredibly well cooked. Very good red wine and the staff really look after you. I've been when it's been quiet (Tuesday evening) and on a weekend and found the food and service both to be top notch consistently. Creme brulee was cracking too! Highly recommend.

First time visiting this evening and was the best dining experience in years. Staff extremely attentive and knowledgeable on the menu, including how certain items on the menu are cooked, how they taste etc. Service very quick and consistent. The food was absolutely incredible on both presentation and taste, I was lost for words. Interior was very comfortable with a range of seating, atmosphere romantic and relaxing. Special mention to Paulo (manager, presumably) for looking after us so well for the entire evening and compliments to the chef for such lovely food. We will definitely be back soon.

I visited this restaurant with friends and although it offers meat and fish dishes as a vegan the chef cooked me a mushroom stroganoff, it was the best stroganoff I’ve ever had, it was absolutely delicious. So was the french onion soup I had for a starter. The service was top notch and the waiter was very professional. The restaurant itself is very posh and for the price that we paid it was extremely reasonable. I will look forward to going back there again in the future.

Very flavourful halibut plate and good deserts with excellent presentation. A good wine will not cost an arm and a leg, and the service is excellent. Previous review... Frites were floppy, but mussels marvelous. Best onion soup ever. Sure we will rate Cognac a five on our next visit. Service top notch. An authentic French atmosphere.

Very lovely experience, the food was delicious, fresh, creamy and hitting all the senses. Had crab cakes that were just perfectly light starter, pork was beautifully cooked and tender in a delicious sauce, and creamy spinach was perfect. Lady who served us was very attentive, I'm sorry we didn't catch her name. Will be back!
